Why TVET Training is Vital to Economic Development.

  

The economic wellbeing of any nation rests on the country’s ability to create sustainable jobs for all. The business, manufacturing and engineering sectors in any country are the key drivers of numerous jobs created through value addition and innovation.

Kenya has the highest unemployment rate , to mitigate this challenge, the TVET training seek to create over 1.3 million jobs by 2022 through business, agricultural and manufacturing sectors.

Many companies have had trouble in acquiring the right talent, whereas many youths have raised concerns of being under qualified for jobs. There were gaps in technical skills such as Science, Agricultural, Technical, Engineering and soft skills such as communications, attitude and work ethics 



which Kenyan employers and manufacturers have also raised.

Kaiboi TTI is focused on an education system that keeps up the pace with industry and economic demands. Its policies and practical steps to promote the development of skills is evident with the development and improvement of training labs and workshops to meet industry’s demands and global standards
