Congratulations to the graduating class of 2022.

Kaiboi Technical training Institute hosted her 3rd graduation on Tuesday 29th this November 2022 at the graduation pavilion grounds. In this year’s most noteworthy event, 2,205 graduands were honored and awarded different Diplomas and Certificates. 

The event was graced by the Administrative Secretary State department of Vocational and Training, Kipkemei Yatich, who made a call to the graduands to work towards being job creators and innovators in their distinguished fields.

The chief guest, Mr. Kipkemei encouraged the class of 2022 to go forth and take the ceremony as an opportunity to begin higher learning in their careers and other life aspects.  

He further extended his congratulations to the institution’s principal, Mrs. Sawe Gertrude for her commendable work in her tenure as principal.


On her part, the principal pointed out that the institution has been a pioneer in cultivating competent manpower and encouraged on the graduands as such;

“You have been trained, examined and found qualified for these awards, now it is in your hands to use the tools of trade Kaiboi has equipped you with for the betterment of your society.”

She further made a call to the guests present including Chief Guest and Nandi County Deputy Governor, Hon. Yulita Mitei, to consider elevating the TVET institution to a polytechnic level.

“This institution, she said, “has consistently ranked among the best TVETs in the Rift valley region and as such, is qualified to be considered a national polytechnic.” 

Her sentiment was echoed by the Deputy Governor who described her long and well standing history with the school.

In an event that was marked with such festivity, the principal called to attention Kaiboi’s ongoing January intake for academic year 2023.

“To our potential trainees undertaking their KCSE this year, we welcome you to undertake the diverse courses we’re offering at KTTI, A center of excellence in Technical, Vocational Education and Training.”

Why TVET Training is Vital to Economic Development.

   The economic wellbeing of any nation rests on the country’s ability to create sustainable jobs for all. The business, manufacturing and engineering sectors in any country are the key drivers of numerous jobs created through value addition and innovation. Kenya has the highest unemployment rate , to mitigate this challenge, the TVET training seek to create over 1.3 million jobs by 2022 through business, agricultural and manufacturing sectors. TECHNICAL SKILLS VITAL IN ACHIEVING SELF EMPLOYMENT DREAMS

    Morgan Kennedy Alugwe joined Kaiboi Technical Training in 1997 and pursued Joinery, carpentry and Automotive Engineering. His stay at Kaiboi Tecnhical enabled him to hone skills and knowledge that would later transform his life for the better. The carpentry and Joinery course which he studied    gave birth to the idea to start a    furniture and     joinery shop   at Namgoi, Nandi   now named   Namgoi furnitures. His move was prompted by the unending demands by the locals who needed household furniture, school furniture among other carpentry services. The demands drove Morgan to use his skills acquired at the institute to develop and expand his furniture industry. Namgoi furniture staff  performing their daily operations Mr.Alugwe started off with 3 staff that assisted him accomplish carpentry tasks at his workshop and later expanded the business that saw him hire 10 more staff members.
